FOOTBALL FOR CANCER
Platinum Care at Home kindly sponsored FFC Youths under 11's football club. Huge congratulations to all those who won the trophys and were recognised for their performances each week. We are very proud to sponsor such a passionate team with great managers supporting them.
ALZHEIMERS CUPCAKE DAY
Platinum Care previously held an Alzheimer's Cup Cake Day on Thursday 14th June 2018 at the Woodpecker pub Waterlooville. We would like to thank everyone who donated cakes to help our day be successful, which helped us raise £180.64. We would also like to congratulate Edenvale Nursing Home who won our Platinum Care at Home raffle Cake which was baked by our company trainer.
RACE FOR LIFE
Some of our Purple Warriors took part to help support and raise money for the Race for Life on Sunday 8th July 2018. This was a 5 kilometer walk/run around Southsea with around 3000 women taking part. A big well done to Michelle, Jo and Michelle for completing this and raising £1190.00
LENNOX CHILDREN CANCER FUND
Platinum Care love to help get involved and support as many Charities as possible, we helped support Lennox Children's Cancer fund, the amount raised £40.34 will enable the Charity to provide emotional care, respite breaks and financial support to families of children diagnosed with cancer. They also are able to continue sending toys, games and special gifts to children in hospitals all across the UK as well as funding for their specialist medical equipment.
FOOD BANK FRIDAY
Here at Platinum Care at Home our staff do a dress down day every Friday to help collect food for all local food banks. Each staff member will bring in a item of food or £1 on a Friday and every month we will deliver the food to a different food bank to help support the community to help fight against hunger.
LITTLE PRINCESS TRUST
On Friday the 31st of August 2018 Platinum Care at Home helped take part in raising awareness and money for the Little Princess Trust. One of our clients granddaughters Lily-May aged 11 bravely had hair hair cut short to donate her hair to the little princess trust in order for young children who have lost their hair to cancer can be provided with real hair wigs.
